Taking exams in a few days time. It’s stressful studying and working and not having time to rest and enjoy what you like to do sometimes. But I guess if we just look at the positive side of things it’s not too bad after all. Well it’s not like everyday we take exams study study study and not enjoy life. Arrgghhh few more days never study yet…back to work and study.

Night at the Museum 2
Managed to catch Night at the Museum 2 (Battle of the Smithsonian) in the cinemas this week, and was it way cool and absolutely fun watching this show to de-stress and just relax. However to my personal liking I still preferred the first show, somehow Night at the Museum 2 is like in a rush maybe they have limited time to film the show or something like this. But anyway it’s still a very cool movie and it’s my second 2009 summer movie that I’ve managed to catch in the “cinemas”. There will certainly be more summer blockbusters to come in a few weeks time. Looking forward to it.

My handprints
Scanned my own handprint a few years back and found it among some of my many files in my portable drive. Brings back some memories of my younger days.
Shots from my travels…
Lilies in a pool…
Lanterns..
Rush rush…
Braise for impact!!!
Up for a Bundaberg root beer?
Standing tall.
Pale faced? Wonder why? Coz it was freaking cold.
A long straight flight of stairs
Isn’t there a lot of stripes in this picture?
Together forever…

Star Trek
I’ve just watched the new Star Trek movie, it was a pretty good movie, surprisingly Sharon finds the movie interesting as well not to fall asleep throughout the movie. Although i’m not an avid fan of Star Trek I still like the Star Trek series pretty well enough to know quite a bit about Star Trek. But I'm no trekkie i’m still a Star Wars fan. One thing i dislike about the movie though is how Kirk rose through the ranks to become a captain of the Enterprise. Just absurd for me. But that’s just how JJ Abrams wanted it to become. Yeah one thing I find it rather amusing during the show is the Russian crew member (not sure who he is) speaking in Russian. He sounded very funny.

Bible Verse of the Day - Hebrews 12:15
Hebrews 12:15 (New Living Translation)
15 Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

More about Johnny
When Jonny Diaz headed off to Florida State University on a baseball scholarship in the fall of 2002, he was prepared to focus his time and efforts on his athletic skills. However, God had other plans and He began a work in Jonny\'s life that led him to put down his bat and glove and instead, pick up his guitar. When you discover that Jonny was the fourth of four brothers to attend college on a baseball scholarship and that two of his brothers have played ball at a professional level (Matt Diaz is currently the left fielder for the Atlanta Braves), you can begin to understand the enormity of this decision. But, with God opening the doors, Jonny embarked on an exciting new adventure. Since then, his tremendous songwriting talents, his vocal and guitar playing skills, and his ability to connect with his audiences, have sparked a grassroots buzz that has taken his music nationwide.
Jonny\'s debut album, Shades of White, released August 2003 as he entered his sophomore year of college and is a project that continues to impact thousands of lives each year. He released the follow-up CD, Everyday God, during his senior year of college. His sophomore effort offers an even fuller and richer sound than Shades of White, yet maintains the acoustic vibe and melodic style that made his first project so popular.
For his third CD, Jonny traveled to Nashville to record with producer Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, Bebo Norman). They Need Love released in March 2007 and immediately caught the attention of radio stations across the country, thanks to his song "Hold Me," which hit the top 40 charts in 2008. There\'s no question that Jonny\'s lyrics, music, and production thus far represent his growth as a musician and in his walk with God.
Releasing in February 2009, Jonny will share his newest CD, Stand For You, which is already receiving national attention. Produced by Steve Wilson (Hawk Nelson, Jeremy Camp, Josh Wilson), this aptly descriptive and intelligent pop effort reveals lyrics, melodies and instrumentation that go far deeper than the stereotypical pop hit. With all songs written or co-written by Jonny, Stand For You captivatingly illuminates Jonny\'s heart รข?? a heart that is passionate about reaching his generation with the message of God\'s love, forgiveness, and grace.
"Stand For You is a call to boldness," Jonny explains. "Scripture tells us that Christ was the fullness of truth and love, yet so much that is ungodly has crept its way into our society and I think it\'s time to take a stand. We can be both loving and unwavering at the same time."
Stand For You\'s impactful first single, "More Beautiful You," just released to radio stations nationwide, shares the message of believing in yourself as God made you, and that it\'s never too late to give your life to Him:
"If you feel depressed with past regrets / the shameful nights hope to forget can disappear, they can all be washed away/ By the One who\'s strong can right your wrongs / Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view / and with His light He will show you truth
And again you\'ll see through the eyes of a little girl"
With the title song, Jonny stands up to unbelievers in honor of his constant and faithful God:
"In a world that tries to water you down / Where beliefs cannot be spoken too loud
I\'ll stand for the Truth
Where they claim your way isn\'t wide enough / And they do their best just to cover you up
I\'ll stand for you"
Jonny has had the opportunity to open in concert for Steven Curtis Chapman, Mercy Me, Bebo Norman, Shane and Shane, as well as numerous other Christian musicians. He has also performed at some of the largest Christian music festivals in the country (Atlanta Fest, Alive and more). Although he primarily travels as an acoustic act, Jonny has an amazing group of musicians who join him for full band shows.
It has been an incredible ride so far for this talented and young singer/songwriter. He is ready for what lies ahead, as God orchestrates the journey of Jonny Diaz.
