Trip Down South.....

I will be in Kuala Lumpur the whole week for training. Sharon and I decided travel down to KL on Saturday to visit a few places first before checking into the hotel. Initially we decided to wake up at 3am in the morning to begin our journey, but we were to sleepy to wake up...but we managed to wake up finally at 6am. By 6.20am we were out of the house and beginning our journey.

Genting Highlands

Our first stop was to Genting Highland, Sharon decided that we should just go up Genting since we drove past the cable car station, our initial first stop was to go up Bukit Tinggi which was about 1/2 hour drive from Genting. Anyway we took the cable car up to Genting Highlands had lunch and quickly walked around until the rain sta rted to pour down and decided that we should not waste anymore time up in Genting since we couldn't enjoy the fresh cool air anymore outdoors.

While up in Genting we decided to have a Deutsh Doodle Dang with 1901 HotDogs. It's new on the menu

BukitTinggi (High Hills)

Bukit Tinggi is a highland resort located about 1 hour drive away from Genting. The resort is a recreation of a French Village and it costs RM16 per person to see the place and the surrounding areas. The french village gives you the feel of how it feels to stay in a French Village. All the buildings you see are actually Hotel Rooms.

Food In Melaka

Well some people say the chicken rice ball is very ho chaik (delicious),but honestly speaking it isn't that nice at all. Maybe because I'm a Penang Kia and the food in Penang is certainly nicer to eat.

Bye Bye Melaka....

Guess what we saw when we were leaving Melaka, a shop selling dentures (fake teeth). One thing really annoys me is the traffic lights on the way out to the highway, there were just too many stops to the toll plaza. Sharon and I counted at least 13-14 traffic lights. The worst thing is whenever the lights turn green the counter for the green lights were only 30 seconds while the stopping time is 90seconds. That's crazy and worst of all was when we were down there there was this festival which caused massive traffic jams along the main roads in Melaka. But all in all we had an interesting trip, it was also Sharon's first time to Melaka, and I was glad to be her tour guide.
